One night it was storming and the cow was standing under a tree. the cow or the tree got struck by lightning and it had killed the cow.<br />
Well this year another cow got struck by lightning and killed. It was Mabel, my favorite of all our cows. She had a calf at the time and her calf was able to eat now but it wasn't growing as good as it should have been if it were still milking. But now it's better and as big as most the other calves.ILuvPurple14http://www.blogger.com/profile/14318215159313376073noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2536091332795253.post-67889547948044289972016-12-23T07:36:00.005-06:002016-12-23T07:36:47.030-06:00Calving Season<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;">One tip is if you have a big herd of cows is to make sure your bull is not in with your calves or next to cows when they are calving because they can sometimes go crazy and ram the calves if the mothers have not protected them the way they should. Right now we have had five cows have calves but we still have a few left.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;">The reason I am saying not to let your bull in with your cows when they are calving because here at my house the bull was OK and we had it in with the calves and everything. But then this year we had a cow calving and were watching to make sure the calf was OK and that it got milk and everything. Well a few minutes after the calf was born the bull came over. He didn't want anything to do with the calf. He was knocking the baby around and at this point the calf can't even walk yet. So we have a family member go out there and chase the bull away from them. Then he kinda left them alone and we put him in the barn. So be careful because the bull could have killed the calf.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">Bunnies are very soft animals and can be very mean and possible attack you too.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">If you have a bunny or rabbit that is somewhat mean ten get a spray bottle and spry them with water every time they bite or try to bite your kids.</span></div>

Do you have goats and are you looking to sell the milk or make soap to sell?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Well in some states you have to have a license to sell those products. If you decide you want to sell those products then go to google and type in the top bar, do you have to have a license to sell goat milk in ________? [ type your state here]</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If you do need a license make sure you get that before you mess around with the products. If you don't need one then you can go ahead and start any time, but you may want a license in the future.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
hope you have a fun time selling!!!! :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
bye bye!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;"><b>The dog you see up above is my dog named Daisy Duke. I love her, she is great puppy. She is only about six or seven years old. Her color probably gives it away, but she is a yellow lab. When we got her she was just a little pup; she was also the last pup and the runt of the pack. We give her water in her bowl twenty four seven and food about twice a day. We let her outside once in a while, it kinda depends on the weather.</b></span></div>

Mystery, my goat, had babies a few weeks ago they are doing great but I would request if you have to bring any babies inside to bottle feed, put a dog pad in a cloths basket and put it in there. Goats are the best and I think they are better than sheep, but that is just my opinion. </div>
ILuvPurple14http://www.blogger.com/profile/14318215159313376073noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2536091332795253.post-66937541610032837922015-01-17T06:17:00.000-06:002015-01-17T06:17:00.426-06:00Well.......... <div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">This winter, we actually had a mama goat have triplets. Two were too small to be out in the cold and they weren't drinking off there mom, so we brought them inside. we bottle fed them inside for a few days, but then it started to smell really bad, so we moved them out with there mom, but sometimes this happens, the mother wanted nothing to do with them and so now we bottle feed them out there. So sometimes you have to keep bottle feeding them in or outside, but be aware of the smell if you have them inside.</span></div>
ILuvPurple14http://www.blogger.com/profile/14318215159313376073noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2536091332795253.post-16659391466794196862014-12-07T10:12:00.002-06:002014-12-07T10:13:18.300-06:00Is there a difference?<div style="text-align: center;">
Some people like to use round bales to feed their animals in the winter time, and others like to use square bales to feed their animals in the winter time, and then there are others who use both round and square bales in the winter. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We like to use round bales and square bales too. People don't know the difference between a round bale and a square bale except that one is round and one is square. Well I am going to tell you the difference between the two. The round bales are way bigger than the square bales are, and you can get either one in actual hay or straw. The bales are different in many ways, I am only telling you a few of the ways today. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
When you go to cut the string off the bale, (if you do) make sure your hand is at a position that you will not cut yourself then go ahead and cut it off.</div>
ILuvPurple14http://www.blogger.com/profile/14318215159313376073noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2536091332795253.post-3060762199182781052014-11-30T07:54:00.002-06:002014-11-30T07:54:51.361-06:00Weaks and caring<div style="text-align: center;">
No more animals have died since my last post, and that makes me happy because I love all my animals. Most of our animals are doing great well not great but good. Four of our goats are not very good right now and are weak. They are also very thin too. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Caring for your animals is much harder in the winter than any other season, I think.<br />
I think it is the hardest season because the cold is hard on animals, it is hard sometimes to get hay or straw, and it is hard to look for you to run tractors and machinery too. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
First off, most of the animals are doing great, but a few went down.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
One of our goats died because of the cold.(winter is not for me)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Two of our bunnies died because my brother didn't feed or water them.(they were his bunnies)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Sometimes you need to switch up your animals. If you do not switch up your animals. . . . . . </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">1. they might run out of grass or what ever you feed your animals</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">2. they might find a way to escape from the pen they are in</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">The animals you have are special and you need to switch them up every two or three weeks to keep them in good shape and healthy!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">Trismas</span> <span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">had her baby calf yesterday(Tuesday morning, June third, 2014). She had a baby girl and her name is Princess! I named her princess because she was our last calf to be born and she is so small, we thought there might have been another calf out in the field, but we looked all over the field for it and didn't find it anywhere.</span></div>
